Matthew Morrison ‘really likes’ Oprah’s pal Marianne Williamson for U.S. president – Latest News

Matthew Morrison is keeping a close eye on one particular candidate heading into the 2020 election  “I really like Marianne Williamson,” the former “Glee” star said at TUSHY’s “Funeral for a Tree” event in NY Thursday “She’s this kind of spiritual leader.”  Williamson, who announced she is seeking the Democratic nomination for U S. president in January, is a New York Times best-selling author and Oprah Winfrey’s own spiritual guru, according to Vox  “She has the most amazing books that have really changed my life,” Morrison, 40, said, referencing “A Return to Love ” “She is just this amazing speaker and someone who is just so passionate,” he added  In 2014, Williamson lost a congressional race in California and has never held office like other candidates, such as former Vice President Joe Biden, Senator Cory Booker, Senator Kamala Harris or Mayor Pete Buttigieg, who are also seeking the Democratic nomination  But despite her lack of political experience, Morrison thinks the White House needs “someone in there that has more of a spiritual approach to things” like Williamson, adding that the U S. has had too much of the “same old, same old.”  “When you think about the leaders that actually changed the game — Dr Martin Luther King, Mahatma Gandhi — they made the most change in this world,” he said “I think we need someone like that.”  Morrison has spoken up about political issues in the past In 2010, he attended a rally in Pennsylvania where he encouraged young people to vote and spoke to them about education, respect, and tolerance Share this:
